Job Description
We're looking for a Oversight Professional that will support the coordination, integration, and continuous improvement of decentralized and distributed oversight and performance assurance functions across the Laboratory. Reporting directly to the Performance Assurance Manager, you will help manage institutional interfaces, facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, and support the effective execution of oversight, assurance, and performance improvement activities.
You will play a key role in connecting organizations, improving processes, supporting employee development, and helping ensure that oversight and assurance activities are implemented in a consistent, effective, and risk-informed manner. This position is in the Office of Laboratory Oversight (OLO).
This position may offer a hybrid schedule, which includes the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week, after a probationary period. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

You will
- Support the management and facilitation of decentralized and distributed networks of oversight, assurance, and performance improvement functions across the Laboratory.
- Coordinate with organizations and stakeholders across LLNL to help plan, integrate, and execute oversight and assurance activities in alignment with institutional priorities and requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to improve communication, coordination, and consistency among oversight-related functions.
- Contribute to the development, documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, tools, and governance mechanisms that support oversight and performance assurance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and integration across assurance and oversight programs, and help implement sustainable process improvements.
- Facilitate meetings, working groups, and cross-functional forums to support issue resolution, information sharing, decision making, and alignment of oversight and assurance efforts.
- Support performance monitoring, tracking, and reporting activities, including the collection, organization, and communication of information related to oversight and assurance program execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, gaps, and improvement opportunities in oversight and assurance practices and recommend practical solutions.
- Contribute to employee development by helping coordinate onboarding, training, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and capability-building activities related to oversight and performance assurance functions.
- Help promote consistent application of oversight and assurance principles, methods, and expectations across participating organizations.

- Serve as a key advisor to management and senior leaders by presenting data-driven recommendations, strategies, and change initiatives oversight, assurance, and performance improvement functions across the Laboratory.
- Facilitate and coordinate large-scale, cross-functional efforts with decentralized stakeholders to align processes, roles, performance measures, and expectations.
- Lead and mentor staff, providing technical direction, work coordination, and oversight for teams and multidisciplinary working groups.
- Manage complex, integrated initiatives using structured project management methods, tools, and best practices to ensure successful implementation and sustainment.
Qualifications
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, organizational development, management, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and significant related experience.
- Significant experience coordinating programs, processes, or cross-functional initiatives in a complex organization.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to support execution of organizational goals, operational activities, or institutional programs.
- Experience developing, implementing, or improving business processes, procedures, or administrative systems.
- Experience facilitating meetings, working groups, or collaborative forums involving diverse stakeholders.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to present information clearly and build productive working relationships.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience supporting workforce development, training coordination, mentoring programs, or employee engagement initiatives.
