- Production Support and Daily Operations:
- Work with Group Leads, Team Members, and Operations regarding the production schedule and materials/parts needed for that day
- Deliver stock to workstations and replenish stock to meet production schedule
- Communicate with Team Leads, Shipping & Receiving and Purchasing as needed
- Support Daily Stand-up meeting by providing status updates on material availability, workstation readiness and any observed production constraints
- Quality Safety, Workplace organization, Lean and Continuous Improvements:
- Maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards
- Ensure the work environment is clean and safe
- Assist with lean manufacturing process audits to include Kaizen events and 5S practice
- Participate in root cause investigations and analysis
- Assist with data collection such as cycle times, takt time observations and scrap counts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training (both required and desired):
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Currently pursuing or recent graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline desired
- Enrollment in Manufacturing Engineering program preferred
Experience:
- 0+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
- Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
- Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
- Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time
