System Engineering Team Lead
OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a System Engineering Team Lead to support our Air Force customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities include: Lead the system engineering effort for a Department of Defense (DoD) software development project.
Experience leading systems engineering activities across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, verification, and validation.
Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering processes and methodologies such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile, and DevSecOps frameworks.
Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, similar requirements management and modeling platforms.
Strong background in software architecture patterns, interface design, and system integration for complex defense applications.
Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams on DOD software programs.
Experience managing technical baselines, configuration control, and change management processes.
Ability to coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and drive program execution.
Understanding of Air Force acquisition processes, Software Acquisition Pathway, and relevant Air Force Instructions.
Familiarity with military standards such as MIL-STD-498 or similar defense software standards.
Understanding of cybersecurity requirements including CSRMC (formerly RMF), NIST 800-53, and DoD security technical implementation guides
Knowledge of Air Force mission systems, command and control architectures, or relevant operational domains considered a plus
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline: however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, or similar systems engineering certification is a plus.
10+ years of experience
Active Secret Clearance
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
