Are You a Systems Engineer Ready to Support Secure, High-Availability Infrastructure?
QSSHire is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer responsible for maintaining and securing application infrastructure across multiple networks.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong Linux and DevOps experience who can ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and highly available. The selected candidate will provide technical support, implement engineering standards, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting critical infrastructure.

In This Role, You’ll:
• Support and maintain application infrastructure across all networks and environments
• Provide technical support to ensure applications remain security compliant
• Implement technical precepts and engineering standards
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as required by contract
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system performance and reliability

Key Responsibilities
• System Design & Implementation: Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure high availability
• Security & Redundancy: Implement and maintain robust security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans
• Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues across hardware, software, and network components
• Collaboration: Work with developers, leadership, and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
• Documentation: Maintain detailed system documentation, architecture, and procedures
• Technology Evaluation: Research and recommend emerging technologies and improvements

You’ll Succeed Here If You Have:
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
• 2+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or related roles
• Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with test frameworks and automation tools
