Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for SIB contract supporting the acquisition of submarines and surface vessels. The SIB concept unifies submarine related activities into an organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities.
Serco-NA is seeking a motivated individual to provide help to the Submarine Industrial Base (SIB) Advance Manufacturing (AdvM) Team. Our Advance Manufacturing Team leverages existing technology to include artificial intelligence/machine learning, robotics, Industry 4.0, advance Non-destructive (NDT) testing, lasers, and a myriad of other technologies to apply withing the Maritime Industrial Base.
We are seeking a Deployable Advanced Manufacturing Integration Coordinator
The Deployable Advanced Manufacturing Integration Coordinator supports the Assistant Program Manager for Deployed Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM). This position ensures all aspects of planning for shipboard (Afloat) installation and shore-side (Ashore) deployment of additive manufacturing (AM) and AdvM assets are planned considered. This position serves as direct Navy Fleet interface on the Deployed Advanced Manufacturing Program team, and provides seamless coordination between the Program and Type Command (TYCOM) personnel. This position facilitates both near-term and long-range planning for installation, informing budgetary requirements for and prior to installations, including advance procurement of assets.

The acquisition of COLUMBIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the class. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of War.
The acquisition of VIRGINIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and Fleet introduction of the U.S. Navy's newest class of nuclear attack submarines. The program is a major defense acquisition program with a total life cycle cost of approximately $336B. Additionally, successful improvement of the Class' capabilities is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of War.
The SSN(X) Office is responsible for the acquisition and design of the future fast attack submarine and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the future submarine. The future Attack Submarine will be designed to retain multi-mission capability and sustained combat presence in denied waters with a focus on greater speed, stealth, and horizontal payloads and salvo rates.

In this role, you will:
- Perform supply chain risk analysis with support from senior members of the team.
- Prepare professional presentations for senior leaders.
- Assist in the development and review of Acquisition Category (ACAT) Milestone Documentation for AdvM Equipment for the Program Manager.
- Manage the Consolidation of Comments
- Manage the Adjudication of Comments
- Assist with Serialization and Configuration Management of Documents.
- Assist with the coordination of all planned work between the In-Service Engineering Agent and the Type Commander or Regional Maintenance Center for Afloat and Ashore Assets
- Review and provide feedback to Configuration Management Documentation with the ISEA prior to finalization and serialization and provide input to Program Manager
- Assist with Industrial Base - Cloud Host Environment tasks, coordination of workflow and use of Amazon Web Service Applications
- Ability to identify and resolve complex problems related to shipboard system integration, determine accuracy/relevance of information, evaluate alternatives and make recommendations to the Program Manager.
- Ability to make effective recommendations in Navy Modernization Process document management processes, principles and best practices
- Ability to work from a project plan as well as to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems and satisfy expectations
- Assist with inventory planning and appropriate, safe stowage handling for critical AdvM assets and related support equipment
- Mentor junior team members in advanced skill-sets as needed to remove instances of single points of failure related to AdvM asset deployment and shipboard integration
- Support execution of acquisition and technology transition pathways
- Manage taskers, deadlines, suspense items and stakeholders follow through across portfolio
- Prepare read-aheads and coordinate material for flag and SES engagements, program reviews and cross-Navy working groups
- Assist in developing program strategies, implementation plans and performance dashboards.
- Work with the SIB team, which is spread across the United States focused on workforce development/marketing, supply chain/sustainment, and technology developments.
- Provide input to Report to Congress regarding MIB spend goals and associated return on investment.
- Assist in drafting information papers in response to Congressional inquiries.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Active DoD Secret Security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for consideration
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science.
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience at a Naval Warfare Center
- Demonstrated experience with AM system integration; familiarity with AM software including experience producing AM integration related documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively technical information to non-technical stakeholders is required.
- Prior experience in integrating AM systems and other technologies into Navy shipboard systems is preferred.
- Ability to effectively engage with sailors, maintainers, engineers, and leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with proven experience leading teams and instructing others in complex environments.
- To be comfortable working in a remote environment and collaborating via digital tools (Teams, SharePoint, or similar).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A customer-oriented team player focused on mission who is self-motivated, driven and can work independently in a remote environment while supporting geographically dispersed stakeholders.
- The ability to travel up to 10%.
