Description:By bringing together people that use their passion for purposeful innovation, at Lockheed Martin we keep people safe and solve the world's most complex challenges. Our people are some of the greatest minds in the industry and truly make Lockheed Martin a great place to work. With our employees as our priority, we provide diverse career opportunities designed to propel development and boost agility. Our flexible schedules, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits enable our employees to live a healthy, fulfilling life at and outside of work. At Lockheed Martin, we place an emphasis on empowering our employees by fostering innovation, integrity, and exemplifying the epitome of corporate responsibility.
Your Mission is Ours.
Come join Lockheed Martin's National Security Space (NSS) Remote Sensing (RS) Systems Analysis Team! Through rigorous modeling, analysis, and test practices, you will leave key imprints on our critical national security products through all phases of their development. You will influence design trades, track implementation evolution, adjudicate performance adequacy of the end-product; all of which will ensure our space vehicles perform to and exceed their missions.
We are seeking a versatile early-career engineer who has shown success in tackling design and integration issues in hardware, hardware-software, or analytical space. The ideal candidate looks forward to solving challenges that range from building a model to predict system behavior under applicable constraints/environments to detailing command sequences with stakeholder support to accomplish a mission function. Variety is the spice of life: The successful candidate is open-minded and contributes where technical problems lead him/her.
We will provide on-the-job mentoring and training to the right candidate who is committed to learning and synthesizing multi-subsystem interactions to contribute to systems issues resolution. You will be exposed to a variety of technical problems, and we will challenge you to solve them through coupled constraints and conflicting conditions, and coach you to clearly communicate your findings and defend your recommendations. We will provide you with a supportive team environment, the context of the problem space, and surround you with knowledgeable experts. Your talented, collaborative, and dedicated teammates in NSS-RS will show you how we perform miracles everyday to make our products a reality, to keep our country safe. We are looking to invest in the career of someone like us: a mission-focused, motivated individual with the skills, intelligence, attitude, team-work mindset and perseverance to innovate our product line into the future.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, engineering science), physics, applied physics, or applied mathematics.
- Solid grasp of the basic laws and modeling of the physics governing mechanical/electrical/optical behavior of materials, structures, devices such that one can apply those principles in a wide variety of engineering problems to be effectively modeled and solved.
- Experience with engineering modeling: building models and troubleshooting for model accuracy
- Proficiency in MATLAB or equivalent engineering tools for data manipulation and analysis
- Learning disposition and keen interest in solving and troubleshooting complex, multi-faceted problems in a team environment
- Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance. US citizenship required.
Desired Skills:

- Basic understanding in the functions of common hardware on aerospace vehicles
- Basic understanding of the standard V-model of the systems engineering requirements and verification process
- Experience with experiments involving hardware testing, test prediction, test data analysis, and reconciliation of test results against prediction
- Execution-minded, demonstrated experience in devising and successfully implemented work plans in close coordination with peers in and out of home organization
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, at distilling complex problems and analysis results for an audience with a cursory understanding of power analysis
