Job Description
GovCIO is currently hiring for a System/Network Security Engineer for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position will be located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Section Manager and Team Lead to support the network availability and integrity with confidentiality and security
- Communicate, investigate, triage, monitor, and respond to security incidents, events, alerts, and issues according to standard operating procedures and in collaboration with NS Operations
- Contribute to alert thresholds refinements and contribute to continuous improvements to the Security Section for the benefit of customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with Security SMEs on best practices
- Assist with mid-level and junior network security engineers on tasks as needed
- Mentor mid-level and junior network security engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years of IT engineering experience (or commensurate experience)
- Clearance Required: Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance
