Job Description

GovCIO is currently hiring for an AV FSR to Install, maintains , and operate advanced Audio-Visual Display Walls and Video Teleconferencing Systems in support of the Department of Defense and Governmental customers. This position will be located in Djibouti or Jordan and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Install, maintains, and operate advanced Audio-Visual Display Walls and Video Teleconferencing Systems in support of the Department of Defense and Governmental customers. Schedules, monitors, and ensures the quality of Video Teleconferencing calls. Performs periodic maintenance of systems in accordance with published documents and vendor guidance. Develops and writes documents outlining processes and procedures. Conducts business with directorate-level customers and maintains good relationships with internal and external contacts. Installation sites are in a deployed environment with comparable amenities to military living conditions. Some situations call for a high level of adaptability and creative thinking, which are normal while keeping a high standard of work ethic. Operational tempo can be fluid

  • Installation and Configuration of Audio-Visual Systems: Set up, configure, and calibrate AV equipment, including projectors, video walls, microphones, speakers, and control systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Configure, operate, and maintain VTC endpoints and supporting AV equipment, ensuring all conference rooms and classified/unclassified systems are fully functional and optimized for daily mission requirements.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, audio, video, and signal-flow issues across codecs, displays, network paths, and peripheral devices, resolving faults quickly to minimize downtime during high-priority conferences.
  • Provide user support and conference execution assistance, including pre-call testing, live call monitoring, and post-conference quality checks, while documenting issues and updates in ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV systems, including audio, video, and network connectivity problems, minimizing downtime for the customer.
  • On-site Support: Provide immediate, on-site technical support during events, meetings to ensure seamless AV operations and address any real-time issues.
  • System Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform routine testing and preventive maintenance of AV systems to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and meets performance standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, repairs, system configurations, and service reports to keep project documentation up to date.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management: Track and manage AV inventory, ensuring that spare parts and equipment are readily available for repairs or new installations.

Qualifications

High School with 0 - 3 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
  • Current and active U.S. Passport
  • Current and active U.S. Driver's License
  • Must attain Avixa Certified Technology Specialists (CTS) within 180 days of deployment
  • Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments
  • Medically/Physically fit for deployment with U.S. Military Forces Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards.


Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • BICSI or Optical Fiber certified
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (copy presented with application)
  • CompTIA Security Plus Certification (copy presented with application)
  • Any Audio-Visual Industry recognized certifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Cisco TelePresence Management Suite
  • Experience in Multi-media Video Walls
  • Experience working in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility
  • Experience supporting Special Operations
