Network/UC Team Lead

GovCIO is hiring a Network/UC Team Lead to support the USFK USACIAS-P program in the Republic of Korea (South Korea). This position will be located at USAG Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, Korea, and will be a fully onsite position.

Responsibilities

Leads a team of network and UC administrators. Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer networks and unified communication systems, maintains network and system integrity, and upgrades network devices, systems, and/or servers as required. May create and document new methods supporting network/system operations and implement changes to procedures. Consults with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifies recurring problems, and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems. May plan for the transition of development and/or production environments to new technologies, use system software to monitor system file performance, manage system data to maintain performance efficiency, and/or study system requirements to determine appropriate server installation methods and procedures.

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network/system security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Provides regular monitoring and analysis regarding short and long-range planning for in-house systems.
• Prepares or ensures the existence of appropriate documentation, including operational instructions.
• Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks.
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine the hardware or software requirements for such changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• Clearance Required: Secret
• Leading and supervising a network and UC administration team to ensure effective operations and team performance
• Performing hands-on network and system administration, including maintenance of computer networks, hardware, systems software, applications, and all related configurations
• Writing or modifying scripts to automate administrative tasks, resolve performance issues, and improve operational efficiency

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience planning, coordinating, and implementing networks on CENTRIXS-K or other military/government classified networks
• Conducting regular monitoring and performance analysis for CENTRIXS-K or similar DoD coalition systems
• Creating, maintaining, and ensuring high-quality technical documentation for military systems operations, including operational instructions, procedures, and compliance requirements

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
