Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Production Control Manager (Level M) to lead the BDS Materials Management team in Berkeley, MO.

The manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing and implementing a Production Control environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead the establishment and operational launch of a new Production Control organization, defining structure, processes, and KPIs to ensure efficient production planning and execution
  • Train Mfg. Leaders and Individual Contributors in fundamental elements of Production Control
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational strategies, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical and operational management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports through Seek, Speak, and Listen
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes to drive First Pass Quality
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers for individual and team development
  • Assists with driving the Production System (BPS) transformation (OneBPS)
  • Coordinate and gain consensus across the organization horizontally and vertically
  • Manage the total product flow from supplier to completion, identifying issues and future challenges based on trends.
  • Effectively problem solve to address production challenges and improve processes


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years' experience in Production Control, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role leading various teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
  • 5+ years' experience leading cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years' experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
  • 3+ years' experience working in a manufacturing, assembly and/or aerospace environment
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years' experience in using Lean principles
  • 3+ years' experience with Production Planning and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS).
  • 3+ years advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems
  • Prior experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) on Material Management and Accounting System requirements, with general CAS and FAR regulations

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time

Shift:

This role will be on 1st shift, but selected candidate will need to have the ability to work any shift as operational needs change

Summary pay range: $167,450 - $206,850 USD
