Rate: $80.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Support development and refinement of US payer strategy for rare disease assets approaching launch.
  • Conduct payer landscape and access risk assessments across commercial, Medicaid, and specialty payer segments.
  • Pressure-test launch assumptions related to access timing, utilization management, and contracting scenarios.
  • Provide structured recommendations on access-related risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Shape the payer value narrative by translating clinical, unmet need, and HEOR inputs into payer-relevant messaging.
  • Align the value story across national and regional payer audiences.
  • Identify evidence or analytics gaps that could affect payer decision-making pre- and peri-launch.
  • Analyze claims data, coverage policies, and utilization management trends to generate actionable insights.
  • Translate data into clear strategic implications for market access leadership.
  • Support payer segmentation and prioritization based on disease prevalence, payer controls, and policy trends.
  • Enable field market access and account teams with payer insights, strategic talking points, and analytics-driven frameworks.
  • Advise account teams on payer motivations, objections, and decision pathways in rare disease.
  • Ensure field-facing materials are strategy-led and aligned with overall payer positioning.
  • Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Commercial Planning to drive integrated launch readiness.
  • Act as a market access thought partner in a lean, fast-moving environment.

Experience Requirements:
  • 7-12+ years in market access strategy, payer strategy, or life sciences consulting.
  • Experience supporting rare disease and/or orphan product launches.
  • Strong understanding of US payer dynamics, including managed care, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and convert insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience operating in high ambiguity, early-stage, or pre-launch environments.
