The Program Reporting Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate, compliant, and timely reports required under government contracts and regulatory frameworks. This role ensures customer satisfaction through Program Office support as well as adherence to contractual, statutory, and agency-specific reporting requirements. The role also supports internal stakeholders with data validation, compliance tracking, and audit readiness.

The Program Reporting Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate, compliant, and timely reports required under government contracts and regulatory frameworks. This role ensures customer satisfaction through Program Office support as well as adherence to contractual, statutory, and agency-specific reporting requirements. The role also supports internal stakeholders with data validation, compliance tracking, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, compile, analyze, and submit required recurring and ad-hoc reports for government contracts and task orders
- Track reporting deadlines and maintain reporting calendars to ensure all submissions are timely and complete
- Validate financial, operational, and performance data for accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate with program managers, recruiting team, finance team, and contracts specialists to gather required data
- Liaise with government customers to ensure reports meet their evolving needs
- Maintain detailed records of submitted reports, approvals, revisions, and correspondence for audit and compliance purposes
- Monitor changes in reporting requirements; recommend process updates as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and process automation
- Ensure all contractor staff comply with timekeeping requirements, including daily recording of time and acquiring government customer concurrence for invoicing purposes
- Keep track of the status of all open positions until filled through communication and coordination with corporate recruiting, HR, Security, and customer program offices
Requirements
- Associate's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field (or HS diploma and additional equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in compliance reporting, grants management, government contracting, or regulatory reporting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret complex data sets
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Experience working with ERP or contract management systems
