Tria Federal is seeking a HAZMAT professional with 5+ years of experience managing hazardous materials lifecycle, inventory control, quality assurance, and compliant storage, handling, and shipping operations in accordance with DoD and regulatory standards.

***This role is 100% on-site.

***This role is Contingent Upon Contract Award.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) management, including general supply activities such as receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and the safe operation of various types of material handling equipment.
  • Apply in‑depth knowledge of HAZMAT program principles, concepts, distribution methodologies, and lifecycle management to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of managed shelf‑life assets.
  • Utilize quality assurance methods, principles, and practices-including statistical analysis and sampling techniques-to perform inspections and ensure the quality, integrity, and safety of HAZMAT products.
  • Manage and maintain HAZMAT assets using automated records and inventory control systems, applying approved material substitution criteria and ensuring proper storage, issue, tracking, and disposal processes.
  • Apply knowledge of logistics and material support programs to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant support for mission requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HAZMAT terminology, inventory accounting guidelines, and regulatory requirements governed by the Department of Defense (DoD), NAVSUP, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), and applicable regulations, directives, letters, and policy statements.
  • Perform hazardous waste determination, profiling, and processing actions in accordance with regulatory requirements and approved procedures.
  • Coordinate and execute HAZMAT shipping operations, including proper packaging, labeling, documentation, and the accurate declaration of dangerous goods in accordance with applicable transportation regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports supporting HAZMAT management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management in support of mission and operational objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) management, including general supply activities such as receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and the operation of various types of material handling equipment.
  • Shall possess comprehensive knowledge of HAZMAT program principles, concepts, distribution methods, and lifecycle management sufficient to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of shelf‑life and controlled assets.
  • Shall have demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance methods and practices, including statistical analysis and sampling techniques, to ensure the quality and compliance of hazardous materials.
  • Shall have experience utilizing automated records and control systems for inventory management, material substitution, and storage, issue, and disposal processes.
  • Shall possess knowledge of logistics and material support programs used to provide compliant and efficient HAZMAT support.
  • Shall have working knowledge of HAZMAT terminology and inventory accounting guidelines governed by DoD, NAVSUP, DLA, and other applicable regulations, directives, and policy guidance.
  • Shall have knowledge of hazardous waste determination, profiling, and processing requirements.
  • Shall have knowledge of HAZMAT shipping requirements, including preparation of documentation and the declaration of dangerous goods.
  • Shall possess a valid driver's license and be capable of operating material handling equipment, including stand‑up forklifts and 4,000-6,000 lb forklifts.
  • Shall possess current certification under the OSHA HAZWOPER standard (29 CFR 1910.120).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
