What You'll Do
Strategic Communications & Corporate Messaging
- Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy that aligns with JRC's mission, growth objectives, and customer engagement priorities.
- Serve as steward of JRC's corporate narrative, ensuring consistent, compliant, and mission-aligned messaging across all internal and external platforms.
- Advise executive leadership on communication strategy, positioning, and messaging for high-visibility engagements.
- Draft and manage executive communications including speeches, talking points, presentations, announcements, and customer correspondence.
- Ensure communications adhere to DoD regulations and security requirements.
Internal Communications & Employee Engagement
- Design and implement internal communications strategies that support culture, leadership transparency, employee engagement, and organizational alignment.
- Develop messaging for corporate announcements, change initiatives, program milestones, and strategic updates.
- Partner with Program Managers and technical teams to ensure accurate and secure reporting of accomplishments.
External Communications & Public Affairs
- Prepare leadership for speaking engagements, industry panels, customer meetings, and media interactions.
- Develop press materials, capability statements, white papers, and thought leadership content that clearly communicate technical capabilities in mission-relevant language.
- Oversee website content, digital communications, and external messaging platforms to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment.
Brand Stewardship & Communication Assets
- Maintain a cohesive corporate identity and ensure consistency across all communication materials.
- Oversee development of corporate collateral including brochures, technical inserts, presentations, and event materials.
- Support JRC's presence at industry events, trade shows, and symposia by ensuring messaging and materials reinforce strategic positioning.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Strategic Communications, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or strategic communications, preferably within the DoD, defense contracting, or aerospace industry.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, mission-aligned messaging.
- Experience preparing executive communications and advising senior leaders.
- Understanding of communications within a regulated or classified environment.
Bonus Points
- Experience producing communications for federal customers and technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, web CMS platforms, and digital communication tools.
- Familiarity with collaboration platforms and internal communications systems.
