Job Description
Description
Are you passionate about teaching highly complex technical topics? Are you adept at teaching, coaching, and mentoring employees to multiply a team's impact? Do you have experience managing large geographically dispersed programs?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Training Team Manager to join the team and establish a program that delivers consistent, high-quality technical training for DataCenter Engineering Operations (DCEO), Data Center Operations (DCO), Infrastructure Delivery (ID), Decommissioning (DECOM), Logistics, and Certified Instructor (CI) development across the Americas region.
The Full Time Trainer Manager is a critical people leader within the AMER FTT program, responsible for
leading, developing, and managing a regional team of Full Time Trainers (FTTs) to deliver high-quality,
standardized technical training across AWS Data Center locations in the Americas. This role owns the end-to-end training delivery capability for their assigned regions, directly enabling operational
excellence and accelerated time-to-productivity for DCEO, DCO, ID, DECOM, and Logistics new hires, as well as the growth of the Certified Instructor pipeline.
The successful candidate will demonstrate deep competency across three core dimensions-Leading, Managing the Business, and Operational Excellence-while taking ownership of team management, organizational health, and employee experience within their team. This individual is an experienced training and people leader who can operate independently across a geographically dispersed organization, influence without authority, drive continuous improvement, and build a culture of learning and high performance consistent with Amazon's Leadership Principles.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements. This position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
