Job Description
Shyft Solutions is looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to support a next-generation decision support system that delivers critical situational awareness to senior national leadership. This system aggregates complex intelligence data into intuitive, real-time visualizations that enable faster, more confident decision-making in time-sensitive environments.
You will be part of a team building and maintaining software that directly supports high-level government operations. If you enjoy solving complex problems, working in Agile environments, and contributing to mission-critical systems, this is a strong fit.
This project supports critical national defense operations by transforming complex intelligence inputs into clear, actionable insights for senior decision makers. The system integrates cross-domain data into geospatial visualizations, enabling users to quickly assess threats, explore response options, and act with confidence.
What You Will Do
Develop and maintain full stack software applications in an Agile environment
Work both independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality solutions
Partner with software engineers and designers on system planning and development
Solve complex technical problems with creative and effective solutions
Support the team in meeting project timelines and deliverables
Demonstrate progress and solutions regularly to customers
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma with 6 years of experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of experience OR
Master’s degree in a STEM field with 0 years of experience
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Experience as a Full Stack Software Developer
Strong experience with Java
Experience working in Linux environments
Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle or PDBs) and SQL
Understanding of Agile development processes
Experience with software testing (unit and integration testing)
Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to meet project needs
Ability to work full time on-site in Bellevue, NE
Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
Experience with enterprise databases
DevOps or DevSecOps experience
CI/CD pipeline experience
Experience with Jenkins
Familiarity with software security tools
Experience with IDEs and configuration management tools such as Bitbucket
