Description
As a Lead Support Engineer, you will provide direct, daily onsite support to a government customer HPCC system crucial to national security, while operating in a highly challenging, dynamic team environment. Your responsibilities will require strong problem solving and technical skills to troubleshoot issues in a mostly Linux-based environment. LNSSI will provide technical training on additional systems (HPCC, ECL programming), if needed, to obtain proficiency in the technologies and systems that are critical to our customers’ mission.

Required Qualifications
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ full-scope lifestyle polygraph (FSP)
• B.S. Degree (M.S. preferred) in Computer Science/MIS, or related discipline
• 2-3 years of Linux Systems Administration experience
• Proficiency in leveraging scripting language(s) e.g.,: BASH, PYTHON, PHP, PERL, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency and experience in programming with Enterprise Control Language (ECL) in a High Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) system platform for big data processing. Must be willing to learn HPCC/ECL.
Optional Qualifications
• Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration system
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud technology
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and solve problems using scripts, maintenance tools, and technical skills
• Maintain required service level response and resolution times for supported systems
• Diagnose performance problems using available performance tools and system indicators
• Develop onsite modifications that ensure continuous improvement of tools and resources
• Take ownership of critical technical issues and develop processes or applications to enhance the team’s ability to achieve its goals
• Testing of software and providing technical feedback to customers, 3rd party vendors, and development teams
• Work with team members to identify training opportunities and develop training programs or plans based on team objectives
• Display initiative and versatility in identifying, learning and developing technical skills
