Position Summary
KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly capable and organized Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Clearfield, UT.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills while collaborating with senior leadership, government agencies, and the KBR team.
• Provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and specifications.
• Document engineering processes and workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, 5 preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desired:
• Proficient understanding and working knowledge of SolidWorks, and simulation tools such as ANSYS.
• Proficient understanding and working knowledge of material selection, manufacturing techniques, and creating and interpreting engineering drawings and data.
• Experience and knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and supportability challenges due to aging and obsolete components.
• Knowledge and experience with root cause analysis.
