Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 3 of Nuclear Surety. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
The candidate will join the Nuclear Surety team and be responsible for technical leadership and assignment management of Systems Engineering Managers and Senior Systems Engineers. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts, have a successful track record of program performance, and possess interpersonal team building skills. Management experience is highly desired. The candidate will dedicate 100% of their time focusing on program execution as a technical leader.
In this Role you be expected to :
• Be a leader of leaders, working directly with supervisors and their engineering teams to align goals and skills
• Drive execution of Nuclear Surety Scope of Work
• Develop baselined schedules and budgets, including earned value enabled planning
• Identify, allocate, and manage program resources, including workforce planning
• Identify risks and opportunities and coordinate with project teams to mitigate and retire risks
• Ensure the program team understands and adheres to contract scope, managing change as applicable through the appropriate boards
• Adhere to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
• Deliver presentations to Customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or Master's degree with 6 years of related experience
• 1 year of experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process (e.g. DoDM 3150.02, AFI 63-125/91-101, AFMAN 91-118/91-119)
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have an active Special Access Program (SAP) to Sentinel at time of application
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Active Top-Secret Clearance
• 1 year of formal management experience
• 5 years of ICBM engineering experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent efforts
• Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
• Demonstrated Functional Management experience
• Demonstrated experience identifying and defining staffing requirements
• Demonstrated experience in development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
• Experience with risk management (identification and development of risks) and driving risk mitigations to closure
Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
