Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Manager of Billings 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Headquarters Division. This leadership role is located in McLean, VA.

This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Billing and Invoicing supporting Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector and will oversee a team performing the daily operations of customer billings and related analysis supporting DS programs. This position is located in McLean, VA. Position responsibilities and duties include:
• Responsibility for managing daily operations of team for invoice preparation, submission, review and approval including related analysis, while ensuring timeliness to maximize cash flows.

• Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and Northrop Grumman policies and procedures.
• Maintain, establish, and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures

• Support request for information from DS programs, Compliance, Internal and External Auditors, and other functional organization or regulatory agencies

• Interface with internal and external customers to resolve issues related to billings.

• Lead or assist with ad-hoc projects, as needed

• Provides an open, trusting work environment conducive to employee engagement, and ensuring a high-performance culture.

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant work experience; 8 years of relevant work experience with a master's degree; or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

• Basic understanding of GAAP, CAS and SOX requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Self-motivated, yet functions well in a team environment
• Experience in financial services/billing teams
• Knowledge of SAP and the SAP Sales and Distribution module

• Strong project management skills

• Prior experience in Aerospace and Defense industry

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
