Acquisition Analyst

Kforce is actively seeking Acquisition and Program Management professionals to support critical programs in Huntsville, Alabama. We have multiple direct-hire openings across various experience levels, offering the opportunity to support high-visibility acquisition efforts in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
All positions are on-site and require an active Secret clearance.

Openings Available (Based on Years of Experience)
We are hiring at multiple levels to align with candidate experience:

1st Level – Typically 5+ years of relevant acquisition or program management experience
2nd Level – Typically 10+ years of experience supporting DoD acquisition or major programs
3rd / SME Level – Typically 15+ years of experience supporting ACAT I/II programs or equivalent

Exact titles and responsibilities will align to experience and background.

Typical Responsibilities May Include

Supporting DoD acquisition and program management activities
Assisting with pre-award and post-award acquisition functions
Supporting acquisition strategies, planning, and milestone execution
Monitoring cost, schedule, and performance across programs
Coordinating with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Supporting contracting actions, documentation, and strategy development
Preparing briefings, documentation, and decision support materials for leadership
Supporting property, logistics, or modernization efforts (role dependent)


Required Qualifications

BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience, depending on level)
Relevant experience supporting DoD acquisition or program management efforts
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and lifecycle management
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Active Secret Security Clearance (required)


Preferred Experience (Varies by Role)

Experience supporting ACAT I/II programs
Knowledge of DoD 5000 series acquisition processes
Background in program management, contracting, acquisition support, or government property
Experience with cost, schedule, performance analysis
DAWIA certification (preferred, not required)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
