Job Description
Summit Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Specialist to provide daily operational and sustainment support for installed classroom audiovisual (AV) systems. This mission critical position directly contributes to operational readiness by ensuring training classrooms and official events are supported by reliable, high-quality audiovisual systems.
This on-site opportunity is located at Fort Sill, OK and requires an active DoD secret clearance.
Responsibilities
Provide daily on-site operational and sustainment support for installed classroom audiovisual equipment (hardware, software and ancillary and associated items of equipment to include networking and TEAMS video conferencing for classrooms.
Ensure all classroom AV systems remain fully operational to support training, ceremonies, conferences, and mission events.
Provide status reporting of daily activities, recurring or significant issues, classroom maintenance/preventative maintenance checks and services and problems resolved.
Perform monthly preventative maintenance of each installed FCP classroom audiovisual equipment by cleaning/dusting projectors and audiovisual equipment cabinet as needed.
Assist on-site client’s and other personnel with daily classroom operation of audiovisual equipment including the providing of user training as needed.
Maintain proper accountability of equipment and repair parts to support daily troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance for classrooms.
Interpret audiovisual signal flow wiring diagrams and schematics; Repairing communication cabling as needed.
Document shipping and receiving of classroom audiovisual equipment repair/replacement parts to include documenting incoming and outgoing materials, labeling, packaging, and shipment of material as required.
Produce audio products for presentations, ceremonies, conferences, and other events, and set up equipment for others' use in accomplishing the same.
Receive requests for audiovisual equipment and set-up to record ceremonies such as change-of-command, retirements, awards, special occasions, presentations and other events, as well as conferences of up to a few days in length.
Coordinate with customers to determine audiovisual requirements, conduct site surveys at various locations on the installation to verify access to power outlets, furniture arrangements, and number of speakers required.
Determine quantity and configuration position of equipment, pack, transport to and from work site, install, adjust, maintain and operate audiovisual equipment, supporting the Command’s and authorized customers’ events.
Provide instructions and briefings on the use of audiovisual systems and instructional technology equipment.
Experience:
Utilize the Army Enterprise Service Management (AESMP), to track and capture workload.
2+ years of demonstrated hands-on AV support experience in an enterprise environment.
Experience troubleshooting projectors, mixers, sound systems, and classroom AV configurations.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience with enterprise ticketing systems, and the ability to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced DoD environment.
2 years of experience with Crestron, AMX, Biamp and Extron A/V systems.
Experience with enterprise ticketing systems (SharePoint, AESMP, or similar) a plus.
Ability to read and interpret AV schematics and wiring diagrams.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Contractor personnel shall have the ability to climb/work at heights of 20 feet.
Education & Certification(s):
Associate’s degree in information systems / computer science.
Three (3) years of technically related field experience in audio visual support may be substituted in lieu of an associate’s degree.
An active InfoComm International Certification in Audiovisual Technology (CAT) certification required; a certification in Audio Visual Technology Installation (CTS) is preferred.
