Company Description

We're a tech company that was first on the ground in the fight against Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance. We help our government and enterprise customers solve a big problem they sometimes don't even know they have. To become leaders in this space, we've relied heavily on curiosity, creativity, and flexibility. We iterate until we get things right and innovate to get there faster.

But enough about us. What's in it for you?

We work hard and do fun things.

Apart from a constantly growing list of fascinating challenges to solve, Ridgeline offers a solid work-life balance, flexible remote work options, and a culture that values teamwork over competition. At Ridgeline, you will work with the most talented software developers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts to change how big enterprises and the U.S. Government manage their digital signatures.

Job Description

*Position is contingent on contract award

We are looking for a hands-on, technically skilled Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the deployment, integration, training, and sustainment of advanced commercial communications and emerging technologies in mission-critical environments.

This is not a traditional FSR role. You will operate as a hybrid FSR, Technical Advisor, Trainer, and Expediter, serving as a trusted on-site resource to the customer. You will be embedded in a dynamic operational environment, enabling end users to rapidly adopt and effectively utilize mission-critical technologies, often with little notice and under high tempo conditions.

Working under limited supervision, you will serve on the front lines of mission execution, supporting system deployment, training users, troubleshooting issues, and always ensuring operational readiness.

What You'll Do
  • Travel frequently between Tysons and Virginia Beach locations, with heavy travel expected in the first 6 months.
  • Serve as the primary on-site technical resource, ready to issue equipment, support users, and respond to operational needs with little to no notice.
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot communication systems, laptops, mobile kits, and supporting technologies in field environments.
  • Train end users on system setup, configuration, and operational use, including delivering ad hoc and structured training sessions.
  • Support and deliver training events ranging from small group instruction to full course delivery when required.
  • Act as a technical expediter, managing logistics, issuing equipment, tracking inventory, and ensuring systems are ready for deployment.
  • Maintain accountability of equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support lifecycle management of deployed systems.
  • Assist with system acceptance testing and validate performance against operational requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using specialized tools, escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Interface directly with customers to support mission readiness and provide technical guidance aligned to operational needs.

What You'll Accomplish in the First 6 Months
  • Once hired, rapidly gain proficiency in Ridgeline supported technologies and environments through a structured internal training pipeline.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted, go-to resource for the customer, capable of responding to operational needs with minimal supervision.
  • Support multiple training events and begin contributing to or leading user instruction.
  • Demonstrate the ability to issue, configure, and support deployed systems in real time operational scenarios.
  • Build strong alignment with the customer mission set and understand how technology directly supports execution.
  • Operate effectively in a high tempo environment with little ramp time, delivering immediate value.

Qualifications

Must Haves
  • Active Top-Secret clearance required at a minimum.
  • Prior experience supporting tactical communications, special communications, cyber, EW, SIGINT, or similar mission systems.
  • Experience operating in or supporting SOF Tier One or closely aligned mission environments strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the service, technical support, or operational support role.
  • Technical training is equivalent to military technical school, trade school, or hands-on operational experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems with minimal ramp time.
  • Ability to train and communicate technical concepts clearly to end users in operational settings.
  • Adaptable, mission-first mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Learning agility, cognitive resilience, and high emotional intelligence with a proven growth mindset.

Nice to Haves
  • Background as a military Cyber Warfare Technician (CWT), TIO for NSW, Cyber or Signal, Communications specialist (17, 25 series, 31D, 35Q, or equivalent) with hands-on field experience supporting tactical operations.
  • Experience as a technical instructor or delivering formal training courses.
  • Background in SOF support, or similar high tempo operational environments.
  • Experience as a System Administrator or supporting mobile device platforms in the field.
  • Familiarity with configuring and managing commercial off-the-shelf communication tools.

What Sets This Role Apart

This role blends field support, training, and mission execution into one position. You are not just fixing systems; you are enabling operations.

You will be the person the customer relies on when they need equipment issued, systems configured, or training delivered immediately.

Over time, this role evolves into a long-term trusted advisor presence, supporting both day-to-day operations and future training and deployment efforts.
