HX5 is currently seeking aProduct Support Software Principal to support the HNC Division at Lackland AFB, TX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead innovation and evolution of Cyber Operations products within an agile, secure, cloud‑based DevSecOps environment using data-driven prioritization.
- Review, analyze, and develop software documentation, requirements, design materials, test artifacts, source code, and configuration data.
- Apply expert knowledge of PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and Hardware‑as‑a‑Service models.
- Coach cross-functional teams to anticipate, identify, and mitigate digital disruptors across commercial and threat domains.
- Maintain a mission-focused balance between introducing new capabilities and improving existing ones.
- Adapt product development priorities based on evolving threats, changing mission profiles, and available resources.
- Validate requirements and capability needs through cross-checks across multiple data sources in dynamic threat and technology environments.
- Strengthen organizational resiliency by documenting key processes, fostering proactive collaboration, and optimizing execution in hybrid digital work environments.
- Apply knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning throughout all program phases.
- Utilize extensive experience with defense acquisition management in accordance with DoDI 5000.87 (Software Acquisition Pathway).
- Incorporate the DoD's 12 Integrated Product Support Elements into lifecycle sustainment efforts.
- Support development and application of Product Support Business Case Analyses (PS‑BCA), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), and tailored software sustainment processes.
- Develop, modify, and interpret performance standards to meet the demands of short software product planning cycles.
Education and Experience:
Must have a combination of the following education and experience:
- Master's degree in a relevant technical or professional field.
- 10 years of experience in the discipline, including 5 years supporting DoD or DoD‑related work.
- Knowledge and application of DoDD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02, and DoD acquisition processes.
- Experience performing analyses in accordance with AFI 65‑501, AFMAN 65‑506, AFMAN 65‑502, AFI 65‑503, and AFI 65‑508.
- Familiarity with AFLCMC Standard Cost Process and related Air Force/DoD policies, manuals, and guidance.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations, cost processes, and acquisition documentation.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance by date of hire
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
