Job Description

Summit Technologies Inc. is seeking a Site Manager / Desktop Support Specialist with technical experience supporting Tier I & II desktop environment comprised of Microsoft-based client systems, enterprise applications, and classroom audiovisual technologies in a DoD environment and experience with daily operations and management of a technical delivery team. In this dual hatted role you will manage the technical delivery team and also deliver technical services.

This on-site opportunity is located at Fort Sill, OK and requires an active DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a technical team of up to 20 employees.
Manage service delivery, service level agreements, deliverable management, including assembling various reports as required.
Manage scheduling, daily operations and priorities and supporting surge needs as needed.
Establish new, maintain, delete, and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune accounts/client systems.
Trouble-shoot and resolve user/client standard application/configuration problems via telephone assistance call, remote control and at user locations.
Maintain local standard operating system and local standard client application software to current Army configuration, service pack, patch, security fixes and virus definition standards.
Perform troubleshooting to resolve desktop baseline application and E-Mail problems.
Provide daily on-site operational and sustainment Tier I initial support for installed classroom audiovisual equipment (including networking and TEAMS video conferencing).
Install, configure and maintain desktop Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) authorized client applications.
Configure Standard Army application systems.
Install, configure and maintain desktop applications.
Assist System Administrators with testing of local client applications and security patches.
Create/update documentation for conventional technical processes (Continuity Books).
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and configuration change requests.
Provide guidance to desktop services technicians, assigned users, and peers.
Perform commercial hardware repair on computer systems.
Complete other assignments as requested.

Experience Required:
Minimum of five (5) years of client support in a Microsoft Windows-based environment (currently Windows 11 & Microsoft 365) in a DoD enterprise IT environment.
Minimum of two (2) years of team or site lead experience supporting Tier I & Tire II desktop support environment.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a technical team of up to 20 employees.
Demonstrated experience in service delivery, SLA management, and deliverable management, including assembling various reports as required.
Experience in managing scheduling, priorities and supporting surge needs as needed.
Experience with providing Tier I & Tier II client support for users on Microsoft Windows in a Microsoft Intune environment using Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage and Access).
Three years of experience in troubleshooting and resolving desktop issues or user problems.
Three plus years of demonstrated experience in PC imaging, connectivity, remote printer setup and troubleshooting automated E-Mail systems in an enterprise setting.
Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately diagnose and resolve problems with computer hardware/software from a remote location.
Three plus years of experience in implementing security systems to include managing and issuing passwords, establishing user/group accounts, and recommending and developing file permission attributes.
Demonstrated understanding and experience with general connectivity issues in LAN/WAN/Internet environments and network protocols such as TC/PIP
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to non-technical users at all levels of the organization.

Education & Certification(s):
Associate’s degree in information systems / computer science.
Three (3) years of technically related field experience in desktop support or network administration may be substituted in lieu of an associate’s degree.
Active Security+ CE (MD-101 (Managing Modern Desktops) certification or equivalent) must be completed prior to start of employment and maintained through employment period.

Security Clearance:
This position requires an Active DoD Secret.
