Job Description
GTSC seeks anEducation Program Evaluation Specialist will support the F. Hollings Undergraduate Ernest Scholarship Program and the Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions program.
**This position is contingent upon contract being awarded**
Primary Duties:
• Performs a variety of duties associated with the monitoring and evaluation of NOAAx27s education programs.
• Provides expert advice and guidance on evaluation to educators, program managers, and leadership.
• Ensures that NOAA education evaluation efforts are continually informed by best practices and latest advancements in the field of evaluation.
• Ensures that NOAA education evaluation efforts are compliant with federal requirements for evaluation and performance management.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
• Masterx27s degree in Education Evaluation or a related degree
• 2-4 years of experience in conducting evaluations of education programs; planning and implementing evaluation systems for large organizations or agencies; and with the development of logic models for education programming.
• Experience with portfolio analysis of diverse education program offerings including grants, educator professional development and training, and educational outreach programs; with implementing best practices in evaluation of formal and informal science education; and with design and implementation of various evaluation methodologies and survey techniques in formal and informal science education settings.
• Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods and analysis techniques.
