Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Responsibilities
- Perform Software Systems Engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various programs supporting aircraft and weapons systems.
- Perform the following activities as part of software development: system resource evaluation; software requirements evaluation; design evaluation; software definition, code and unit test; integration test; software delivery and independent test; software quality assurance; and software configuration monitoring.
- Conduct reviews of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) products.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.) evaluating supporting work products to Government standards.
- Participate in all software life-cycle reviews from requirements analysis, preliminary design, detailed design, integration, and test.
- Review and comment on proposed system requirements, based on Government provided information. Verify the system requirements meet the stated program objectives.
- Support program reviews and periodic program status meetings.
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Support Statement of Work and CDRL development.
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
- Make recommendations regarding human systems engineering.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance, must be a U.S. Citizen.
- BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline.
- At least ten (10) years of experience in Software/Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems, consisting of the design, development, integration and system testing of computer hardware and software.
- Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207 is preferred .
- Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, or systems safety & reliability is desired .
- Experience in military aircraft avionic systems and software is desired .
- The successful candidate should possess strong communication, (written/oral), and presentation skills as well as strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Some travel may be required.
