Job Summary

B&A is looking for a highly qualified, strong leader that has the ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams to achieve performance targets. Additional responsibilities include:

Responsibilities
  • Own a Declassification review process
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timeliness
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex documents and technical graphs
  • Advanced leadership skills to effectively lead a team of declassification reviewers
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and ensure smooth transitions
  • Manage the queue and track the backlogs
  • Drive accountability through clear goal setting, quality standards, and performance tracking
  • Drive strategic planning and decision-making across cross-functional teams
  • Evaluate the program's processes and identify areas of efficiency
  • Revise and update the program's operating instructions
  • Identify bottlenecks within the program's processes and procedures and provide solutions to these bottlenecks
  • Assist with effective management and maintenance of program metrics
  • Perform daily technical oversight reviews according to most recent guidance, training, and procedures
  • Be knowledgeable of all applicable program guides
  • Be able to apply all appropriate topics to documents
  • Understand and be able to apply all project relevant classification levels
  • Provide feedback and engage in discussions on assignments and documents, supporting consistency and knowledge-sharing across the team.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills, meeting deadlines and maintaining steady productivity.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively, adapting as needed to team requirements and customer expectations.
  • Proactively ask questions to clarify tasks and ensure accuracy, while remaining open to constructive feedback and criticism.
  • Provide new ideas and open to "think tank" discussions about how to help the team
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture
  • Demonstrates professionalism and integrity by representing B&A respectfully, adhering to company and team guidelines, being open to questions, feedback, and constructive criticism, and adapting flexibly to changing assignments.
  • Complete other requirements of contract as deemed necessary by the client

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience, such as previous navy nuclear experience or experience serving the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP).
  • Business Management experience leading a cross-functional results driven team
  • Ability to certify as a Derivative Classifier (DC) in accordance with all processes and requirements

Required Skills
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • Effective communication skills and social skills.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Works independently and shows initiative and proactivity.
  • Background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) is preferred, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to classification and document analysis tasks.
  • Capable of sustained focus on both paper and digital records, including reading physical documents and performing computer-based review work for extended periods
  • Demonstrates advanced analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision in classification determinations and documentation.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and evaluate complex technical materials such as drawings, manuals, laboratory results, and other scientific/engineering content to support informed classification decisions.
  • Proficient in relevant program software and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SharePoint, BlueBeam, and other tools required to support review and documentation tasks.

Security Clearance
  • Has a current DOD Top Secret or a current DOD Secret and the ability to upgrade to a DOD Top Secret.
