General Duties:
Aleut is in search of a highly motivated individual to develop, instruct, validate, and maintain distance learning Space Electromagnetic Warfare (SEW) course material at the 319th Combat Training Squadron, Peterson SFB CO in support of the USSF Officer Training Course Distance Learning (OTC-DL).
Specific duties:
- Develop, qualify on, and deliver asynchronous distance learning Space Electromagnetic Warfare course materials (lessons, labs, and assessments) aligned with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and applicable DoD/USSF guidance
- Maintain distance learning office hours for no more than 10 hours a week
- Assist students with Distance Learning, Learning Management System (LMS) and remote on-boarding activities
- Develop and maintain training content covering electromagnetic spectrum operations in the space domain, including jamming, spoofing, electronic protection, and electronic support
- Incorporate real-world threat intelligence, space system vulnerabilities, and emerging adversary tactics into course materials
- Support development of scenario-based training and simulations related to space-based EW operations
- Interface with internal and external agencies to maintain current and relevant training aligned with evolving space and EW doctrine
- Coordinate instructional activities with Contract Task Lead and government personnel
- Support periodic in-residence instruction or hybrid delivery as required
- Develop assessments to measure student proficiency against learning objectives
- Maintain courseware in compliance with security classification guides and operational security requirements
- Assist in LMS course setup, content delivery, and student performance tracking
- Participate in course reviews, updates, and continuous improvement efforts
- Additional duties as assigned
- Work on-site - minimal telework authorized
Required Skills:
- Broad, instructor-level understanding of Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) principles, including Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protection (EP), and Electronic Support (ES)
- Knowledge of electromagnetic spectrum operations, including RF propagation, signal modulation, spectrum management, and interference analysis
- Understanding of Space Electronic Warfare concepts, including satellite communications (SATCOM), GPS/GNSS disruption, uplink/downlink vulnerabilities, and space-based sensor systems
- Ability to teach threat-based EW concepts, including adversary capabilities, jamming techniques, and countermeasures
- Experience with EW or spectrum analysis tools, simulation environments, or mission planning systems
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI)
- Proven ability to develop and deliver distance learning content, including asynchronous modules, recorded lectures, and interactive exercises
- Strong instructional capability to translate complex technical concepts into measurable learning objectives
- Effective communication skills for remote instruction and learner engagement
- Understanding of DoD training frameworks and standards (e.g., ADDIE/ISD, CJCSI guidance, and service-specific training requirements)
- Active or current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required
Education and Required Experience:
Education:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Space Operations, Physics, Cybersecurity, or related field; OR a bachelor's degree and 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted
Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in Electronic Warfare, Space Operations, Cyber Operations, or related DoD domain
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Electronic Warfare Professional (CEWP) or equivalent military qualification
- Space operations certifications or formal USSF/USAF space training pipelines
- Instructor certifications (e.g., military instructor qualification)
Salary Range:
- $115,000 -- $135,000 (annually); salary/start date contingent on contract award (~27 Apr 2026)
