DevSecOps Architect

Overview

As a DevSecOps Architect , you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 8-10 years of experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build/release management, CI/CD practices, and process automation. You will act as both technical visionary and be responsible for hands-on delivery.

Contributions

Responsibilities include:

• Establishing development tools and infrastructure for automation
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• Automat ing and improv ing development, testing, deployment, and release processes
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Perform ing root cause analysis on complex business processes and technical components.
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and 'fixes'
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Support ing enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD
• Document ing as-is state of the environment, perform ing a gap analysis, and produc ing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
• Leverag ing virtualization and containerization t o optimi ze and modernize software systems
• Act ing as an individual contributor and mentor team members
• Engineer ing and implement ing solutions and provid ing recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided
• Present ing regular status updates and provid ing cross - training to other DevOps team members.

Qualifications

Required:

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• B achelor's Degree in an IT -related field and 10+ years of experience
• 8 + y ears of e xperience with one or more clouds ( i.e . AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 8 + y ears of e xperience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
• 8 + y ears of e xperience with one or more programming or scripting languages
• 8 + y ears of experience implementing DevSecOps practices within an Agile development environment
• 3+ years of experience implementing containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• 8 + y ears of e xperience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• 8 + y ears of e xperience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Action s, CircleCI , TravisCI
• Experience implementing and managing industry-standard DevSecOps tools across the SDLC
• Experience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD pipelines

Preferred:

• MS Degree in an IT-related field
• Certifications:
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • AWS Certified Solution s Architect - P rofessional
  • Microsoft Certified : DevOps Engineer Expert
  • SAFe DevOps Certification
• Experience implementing a utomated t esting frameworks (e.g., Selenium )
• Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform ing a gap analysis, and produc ing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
• Experience with scripting in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and collaborative skills

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
