We are seeking a Senior IT Product Manager to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
Seeking a Senior IT Product Manager with experience in planning and driving development for Information Technology (IT) and cyber-related efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Department of Defense directives and policies, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
Overall Candidate must be a thought leader who is customer focused with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to plan, lead team members, and drive execution of performance requirements across multiple contracts. This position is in our Security and Electronic Systems Division.
• Part of leadership team that conducts systems engineering analysis and design-build execution of IT-related projects.
• Responsible for supporting content inputs and review of system engineering analyses as well as Rough Order of Magnitude cost development; support planning and documentation of proposed project execution approach.
• Responsible for working with Program Manager, Engineering Manager, and system engineering team to develop the appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), schedules/sprint activities, and manpower allocation for task orders.
• Support development of Statements of Work (SOW) and cost for revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements for the Project Leader to review.
• Assist with the coordination of system engineering, configuration, testing, and implementation activities. Coordinate with engineering team and/or system administrators to discuss any potential implementation issues.
• Monitor project budgets to ensure positive cash flow and prepare monthly financial forms.
• Assist with inspecting and reviewing projects to monitor compliance with technical and performance requirements.
• Routinely interface with customer team to develop client relations, address project status and respond to customer concerns under the supervision of the Program Manager.
• Suggest process improvements / cost saving measures and work with the government customer, Program Manager, Engineering Manager, and team to implement, as applicable.
• Assist with equipment and material planning and procurement, to ensure on-time delivery and location and storage to enhance project productivity.
• Work with Program Manager and Engineering Manager to plan and maintain manpower forecasts in relation to budget.
• Assist with preparing project kickoff (PKOM), gate checks and monthly Key Project Reporting (KPR).
• Drive customer reporting including weekly project status and schedule updates, in addition to driving iterative internal progress.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance is Required
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree with minimum 10+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of related IT or cybersecurity product/program/project management experience (Federal projects).
• Demonstrated experience with scheduling and work control techniques (e.g., CPM, waterfall, agile, scrum, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing project budgets.
• Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver.
• Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
• Proficiency with Computers including standard MS Office suite, MS Project, and Adobe.
• Experience overseeing and approving monthly job cost updates, productivity reports, and cash flow projections.
• Experience with process re-engineering analysis and automation/efficiency initiatives.
• Proficient in reading system architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Ability and Willingness to travel to local sites as needed.
