Job Overview

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Location: Tampa, Florida

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage RFQ/RFP (Request for Quote/Proposal) for products and services.
  • Compare pricing, schedule, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers, per government purchasing regulations.
  • Selects and recommends suppliers, negotiates price, quality, and service.
  • Review purchase requisitions to verify accuracy and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain all required purchasing documentation and files.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders.
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders for all purchases, including technical evaluations, shipment tracking, invoice reconciliation, etc.
  • Manage corporate purchasing credit card, to include reconciliation documentation.
  • Track the status of requisitions and product orders.
  • Assisting the accounting department in invoice process and expense tracking initiatives, including variance explanations.
  • Manage shipping accounts for all projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of the work and US Government required, US Citizenship is required.
  • A minimum five (5) years procurement experience.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with FAR/DFAR and special provisions.
  • Experience working in an approved Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) environment and CPSR audit.
  • Mission-oriented team player, with strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to multitask, work independently, and manage time and workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualification

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Costpoint/Deltek experience highly preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with government purchasing regulations and audits, GSA, ISO, CMMI, CPSR.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related procurement/logistics experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail required.
  • Well-organized, self-starter.

Education

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
