Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
(1) Evaluating contractor performance to ensure contractual compliance on a large-scale contract;
(2) Securing stakeholder agreement on all project technical details;
(3) Evaluating contractor proposals for compliance with technical requirements; and
(4) Preparing contract modifications to formalize project changes.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS - 11).

- Works under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Division Chief, serving as the Contracting Officer's Representative for Base Operations (BASEOPS) contract.
- Perform technical and administrative duties in the procurement, administration, and management of contracts.
- Provide technical review and advisory services on matters related to the Base Operations (BASEOPS) contract.
- Serves as a senior technical advisor to Installation and Garrison Command on all aspects of the BASEOPS contract.
- Participates and advises in acquisition planning for requirements related to the BASEOPS contract and its successor contracts.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the required level of physical health ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
