Location: Lanham, MD (25–30% OCONUS travel)
Employment Type: Permanent
Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000 + relocation support
Clearance: Active Top Secret required
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a long-standing federal construction program based in Lanham, MD with periodic OCONUS travel (25–30%). This role supports a highly specialized program currently entering its third contract iteration, with an expected 5–6 years remaining in the present cycle and additional close-out responsibilities extending beyond that timeline.
The selected candidate will report to the Project Coordinator and work closely day-to-day with program leadership, including Ian Hwang, while employed through the Managing Partner (Hana Group) of the joint venture.
This position is replacing a part-time incumbent role that must transition to full-time coverage soon.
Primary Responsibilities
• Directly supervise and coordinate on-site commercial construction project activities
• Lead field crews to ensure quality workmanship, schedule adherence, cost efficiency, and strong communication and morale
• Review crew work product and performance
• Identify and communicate project priorities, job costing concerns, workforce issues, and stakeholder feedback
• Ensure compliance with safety and incident reporting procedures
• Escallate risks and operational issues to the Project Coordinator
• Interpret and apply blueprints, surveys, and job specifications
• Participate in hands-on trade supervision when required
Required Qualifications
• Active Top Secret clearance
• 15+ years of commercial construction project leadership experience
• Demonstrated supervisory experience managing field crews
• Strong ability to plan, organize, execute, and close construction projects
• Experience interpreting blueprints, surveys, and construction specifications
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Strong multitasking capability in fast-paced environments
• High attention to detail and strong teamwork orientation

• HTSOS Certification

• Program duration: 18 years active
• Recently awarded third contract iteration
• Expected remaining performance window: 5–6 years
