Job Summary:

Lead a multi-disciplinary team supporting the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, SC. As DAWSONs Project Manager for Facilities Support Services, you will oversee the delivery of integrated base operations servicesincluding facilities maintenance, janitorial, grounds maintenance, dispatching, estimating/planning and environmental/safety compliance. Your leadership ensures the Charleston campus remains operational, secure, and mission-ready to support federal law enforcement training.

Location: Charleston, SC

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Government for all facilities support operations covered under Section C Client PWS.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management for service areas including building maintenance, custodial services, landscaping, quality assurance and quality control, and environmental and safety compliance.
  • Supervise and coordinate work across multiple departments and subcontractors to ensure consistent performance and contract compliance.
  • Monitor service schedules, staffing levels, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections (QA/QC), and emergency responses.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and health regulations (OSHA, EPA, DHEC, etc.).
  • Review and enforce contract deliverables, SOPs, and performance metrics across all service lines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, including inspection results, service call logs, work orders, and quality control plans.
  • Conduct regular meetings with government representatives and prepare written minutes, corrective action responses, and updates as required.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of key supervisory and technical staff across all functional areas.
  • Supervise and manage assigned personnel, including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating onboarding, and ensuring completion of required training and certifications.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to staff, while identifying training needs and ensuring compliance with organizational and contract requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate purchase reconciliation information for purchases, including submission of required cost codes and supporting documentation on a weekly basis in accordance with company financial procedures.
  • Support initial inventory efforts and prepare required reports and deliverables

Qualifications:
  • Shall possess at least ten (10) years of recent O&M/Facilities management type experience with seven (7) recent years in a project management/supervisory role with experience in Federal Contract management and supervision of facility operations. It is highly desired that this experience includes facilities in adult education resident facilities, facility maintenance, food services, housekeeping and human resources at facilities having the approximate size, characteristics, and service mix as our FLETC Complex.

  • Demonstrated leadership across multiple service lines including maintenance, janitorial, grounds, and environmental/safety compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal contracting requirements, performance-based service delivery, and preventive maintenance systems.
  • Proficient in work control, scheduling, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; able to represent the contractor to senior government stakeholders.
  • Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field required

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain a favorable adjudication via a DHS background investigation and maintain suitability clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
  • This position may require the operation of Company-provided vehicles.
    • If operating Company-provided vehicles, maintaining a valid drivers license in good standing is a condition of employment.
    • If operating Company-provided vehicles, employee must comply with all Company vehicle use and safety policies, as well as all applicable traffic laws.
    • If operating Company-provided vehicles, the Company may review your motor vehicle record (MVR), as permitted by law, to verify eligibility to operate Company vehicles.
    • If operating Company-provided vehicles, you must immediately notify the Company if your drivers license is suspended, revoked, restricted, expires, or if your driving privileges otherwise change.
