The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Senior Custodian to support our government customer in Kekaha, Hawai'i .

Under the general direction of the Supervisor or Lead, performs general custodial functions cleaning, shampooing, waxing floors and cleaning office areas, restrooms and work areas, including garbage collection and disposal for the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) facility.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Master all custodial duties and work equipment.
• Able to perform all duties with little or no supervision.
• Able to explain and understand the different levels of service provided.
• Work well as a team and capable of working alone.
• Knowledge of all cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time.
• Time management; ability to meet work goals in a timely manner.
• Attention to detail.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks indoors and outdoors including lifting, pushing or pulling between twenty-five to fifty (25-50) pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and crawling, kneeling or cramped work, requiring repeated stooping and repeated and frequent stair climbing. The environment will include customer contact and field assignments.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School or equivalent
• Must have a valid Driver's License and able to drive automatic and standard vehicles.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Four (4) years' experience in a direct or related field to the position.
• Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform work.
• Must be able to work on weekends.
• Must be able to demonstrate and operate all equipment, floor finishers, shampoo machine and various types of vacuums.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
