The Manager Nurse Employee Health 2 provides support for an occupational-health program that serves roughly 23,000 Mission Systems Sector employees across nine U.S. sites. Reporting to the Manager 3, Nurse Employee Health, the individual in this position will be responsible for managing medical clinics and registered nurses (RNs) while assisting to maintain regulatory compliance, serving as a resource with respect to occupational health service issues, and guaranteeing that occupational health services meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
This position is located at our Linthicum site in Baltimore, MD, however, other locations may be considered.

Primary Level Salary Range: $127,100.00 - $190,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Key Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Manage a team that includes approximately 4-5 RNs at different geographical locations to ensure seamless delivery of all health-service activities.
- Develop and execute strategic occupational-health plans that align with corporate goals, regulatory requirements, and budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while preserving service excellence.
- Partner with Manager 3, Nurse Employee Health and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) to resolve health issues that affect employee safety and workplace functionality.
- Build collaborative relationships with managers, Human Resources (HR), EHS, Accessibility and Disability Accommodations, Legal, and other stakeholders.
- Foster a professional, team-oriented environment.
- Manage community health initiatives (e.g., blood drives, mammography screenings, CPR/AED/first-aid training) to expand service offerings.
- Monitor mandatory OSHA and contract-required surveillance programs (hearing conservation, respiratory protection, bloodborne pathogens, etc.) to ensure compliance at managed sites.
- Assist with conducting clinic audits and collecting program metrics.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong customer-service, interpersonal and public speaking skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership with ability to motivate, develop, and manage diverse teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS Degree with 8 years in the medical field and 1-3 years in occupational health; or a Master's Degree with 6 years in the medical field and 1-3 years in occupational health.
- Project management experience; handling multiple complex priorities simultaneously
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general PC/network environments.
- Experience with healthcare electronic medical records (EMR) systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, Cority, etc.).
Preferred:
- Experience as a medical professional in Occupational Health and Safety
- Certifications in occupational health, environmental health and safety
