Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Production Engineering Manager to support the Materials Management Organization in Berkeley, MO.
As a senior manager in this role, you will lead a team of industrial engineers applying techniques and concepts to optimize production system design, operational efficiency, and after-market services. This highly visible role will focus on driving productivity, system stability, and overall team performance. In this role, there will be regular interaction with the cross-functional production support team, operations, and executive leadership.
The Materials Management organization provides seamless support to customers, both internal and external, modernizing how to receive, track, and deliver parts. Materials Management managers products from on dock through last stage of kitting to point of use. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to production parts and materials, hazmat and consumables, low-cost hardware, warehousing, tooling, and material integration center support.
The successful candidate will have strong engineering expertise with the ability to develop and execute projects and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals. As a Senior Manager, you will acquire resources for projects and processes and lead process improvements.

Position Responsibilities
- Leads team of Industrial Engineers performing detailed process and data analysis, and implementing process improvement to enable the efficiency and stable operation of the Berkeley Site Material Management team
- In the future, you will partner with other Material Management Industrial Engineering managers to develop and maintain standard processes and key performance indicators
- Leads the documentation and deployment of best practices across sites for Materials Management Industrial Engineering
- Partners with Site Production and Industrial Engineering leadership to support standard training, upskilling, career growth, and rotation opportunities for the regional Industrial Engineers.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years leading or managing engineering teams.
- 3+ years of experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an operations environment.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change.
- 3+ years of experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment where compliance with policies and procedures is essential.
- Experience with internal and/or external (supply chain) parts flow optimization experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science or working towards a Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited course of study.
- Active U.S. Security Clearance.
- 3+ years of proven strategic leadership teammate engagement.
- 3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives.
