Job Summary

The Business Architect Lead is a senior strategic role responsible for defining, governing, and maintaining the organization's overall business architecture. This role translates business strategy into actionable, integrated blueprints that describe business capabilities, operating models, processes, information flows, and organizational structures.

The Business Architect Lead ensures alignment between strategic objectives and business execution, enabling the organization to design and implement solutions that effectively support current and future business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain the enterprise business architecture, including business capabilities, value streams, processes, and organizational models
  • Translate business strategy and objectives into actionable architectural blueprints and roadmaps
  • Ensure alignment between business capabilities, operating models, and strategic priorities
  • Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams to guide decision-making
  • Evaluate proposed initiatives and solutions to ensure they support business architecture principles and organizational goals
  • Identify capability gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization across the enterprise
  • Support enterprise transformation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish and enforce business architecture standards, principles, and governance
  • Communicate business architecture models and insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure investments deliver measurable business value

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or strategic business analysis roles

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into executable business models and architectures
  • Strong understanding of business capabilities, operating models, and organizational design
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills

Desired Skills
  • Experience leading business architecture efforts in complex or enterprise-scale environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture or business architecture frameworks
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or modernization initiatives
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Ability to bridge business strategy and solution delivery effectively

Security Clearance
  • US citizenship required and the ability to obtain a CBP security clearance.
