This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to :
- Creates a work environment that is conducive for teamwork and strong professional development.
- Takes assigned projects from estimating stage through to completion, while providing budgeting and operational justifications, as well as performing manufacturing planning.
- Provides customer interface for Project Kickoff, Design Reviews, Manufacturability Discussions, Engineering Change Discussions, Equitable Adjustment, and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Performs initial and ongoing project reviews with internal/external customers.
- Develops manufacturing planning, including material takeoffs, project schedule, and coordinates with the top management to schedule and plan work efficiently.
- Identifies process deficiencies and develops solutions to correct and/or improve, root cause, and process flow.
- Coordinates the lessons learned/project reflection process for each assigned project.
- Perform additional assignments and/or duties as assigned by manager.
- Customer Status support that may require contact (verbal, written, or both) as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3-7 years of engineering or project management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Ability to initiate/manage cross-functional teams.
- Possesses critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to lead by influencing, negotiating, and delegating.
- Experience working in an AS9100 regulated environment.
- Microsoft Suite proficiency, including Project.
Preferred:
- PMP Certification, or equivalent work experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to sit or stand up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted.
