Job description:
Aircraft Mechanic II (Hydraulic/Electrical)
Performs organizational- and intermediate-level maintenance on aircraft hydraulic and electrical systems and components. Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and adjusting hydraulic and electrical assemblies, parts, and accessories in accordance with established technical data, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum six (6) years total aircraft maintenance experience: two (2) years hydraulic systems, two (2) years electrical/avionics systems.
Proficient in system diagnostics, removal/installation of components, and operational/functional checks on both hydraulic and electrical systems.
Skilled in interpreting wiring diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance directives; performing hydraulic bleeds and electrical operational tests per tech orders.
Familiar with specialized tools for connector assembly/disassembly and pressurized fluid systems.
Must understand proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Normal color vision per AFI 48-123 is mandatory.
Active Secret Clearance required.
Additional Duties:
Support modifications, operational checks, and technical compliance actions on aircraft and Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE).
Ensure maintenance actions are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable Air Force and DoD standards.
