Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cyber Security Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to be part of a cutting edge growing Cybersecurity project that is making a huge impact on the DOD/Intel community?
This exciting role includes performing traditional System Engineering and Vulnerability research with a focus on OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) and DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities. Support assessments of large scale weapons systems and other national security operations to make sure mission systems remain robust, secure, available and interoperable amid the influx of new threats and technologies.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Duties:
- The Cybersecurity Engineer is a specialized field of system engineering that integrates cybersecurity requirements, engineering principles, and system design standards to ensure the architecture for DoD weapons systems, communications platforms, and information remains secure.
- You will use your systems engineering expertise review and assess of a wide range of complex weapon systems to identify technical risks within the system's cybersecurity posture.
- You will work with the system owner to develop and recommend appropriate mitigations to manage cybersecurity risks. Responsible for reviewing and assessing cybersecurity architectures across a variety of applications or domains for systems with large size, complexity, and risk.
- Partner with the DoD customers building these systems to guide them and to help them understand the cybersecurity trade space.
Qualifications
- 5 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size. BS in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline
- 3 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size with MS in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline
- 1 year as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope/size with a PhD or JD degree
- An ACTIVE TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Required Certifications
- CompTIA Security + (required)
- One of more of the following within 6 months of start on contract: CPTE, CEH, CISA, CISSP
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Cybersecurity best practices and Threat-based Cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience providing system security engineering guidance for DoD customers
- Familiar with system authorization process and necessary security artifacts
