Job Description
SMX is seeking a Senior Contract Analyst with a mastery of DoD contract execution and contract administration to support a government client at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
As the Senior Contract Analyst, you will be part of a weapons system development and fielding team, providing contractual support and advice to the Business Chief, Project Manager and other Sr Army Officials.
This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days per week onsite.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Drafting Contract Requirements Packages for weapon system production-oriented contracts and engineering services contracts for high-dollar efforts
- Preparing and staffing Justification and Approvals for Sole Source, Acquisition Plans, Service Acquisition Strategies and Functional Requirements Authentication Board (FRAB) documents
- Engaging with the project office for applicable documents including DD1423's, Security DD Form 254, Independent Government Cost Estimates, RSCA's and Government Property
- Contractor requests will be reviewed, an analysis determined and a response back to the ACC.
- Administering all areas and submitting to the ACC findings, guidance and in some cases, concurrence prior to the KO responding back to contractor
Required Skills & Experience
- Clearance Required: Secret
- Bachelor's Degree
- 11 years' experience providing contractual support and advice to a DoD program office
- Expert in DoD acquisition process
- Must be familiar with contract correspondence formats
- Knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FARS as well as other required regulations, policies, and procedure
- Able to interact and respond to the contracting officer through formal and informal contractual correspondence
- Familiarity with the following:
- different types of funding
- resolving issues associated with contractual production and services
- Government Furnished Property
- contract close-out
Desired Skills & Experience
- Master's degree in business
- 5-7 years performance in Army contracts office preferred
