Position Summary
Pilots are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of program aircraft. When designated, the Pilot in Command (PIC) has overall responsibility for the tasked mission and authority over the other pilot assigned to the flight. PICs ensure adherence to site, contract, Flight Operating Procedures and DCMA 8210.1C requirements, flight/mission planning, and supervises all aspects of flight preparation.
The Special Mission Training (SMT) Pilot will support operations of MAG's Special Mission Training flight division as well as the corporate aircraft flight division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to :
- Primary responsibilities are to safely conduct flight operations that support MAG's Special Mission Training flights that include: mission flights, research and development flights, maintenance flights, test flights, aircraft relocation and transit flights, and flights to support MAG's corporate travel needs.
- Handling logistics that support these efforts, which include but are not limited to: ensuring the security of MAG aircraft when being parked somewhere other than base and making necessary travel arrangements for corporate passengers (i.e. ground transportation and lodging).
- Such expenses may require MAG employees to personally incur these expenses at time the services are rendered. MAG will reimburse employees for all approved expenses in a reasonable amount of time for all incurred expenses.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Required Skills: (skills a candidate MUST have to be considered for a position)
- General Aviation (civillian) flight experience
- Minimum of 250 hours total flight time
- Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate for Single-Engine and Multi-Engine Airplanes
- Hold an Instrument Rating
- Hold a current, valid 1 st or 2 nd class Medical
- Be legally current for Instrument flight
- Be legally current to carry passengers for day and night operations
- Familiarly and proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and electronic forms of communication
- Must be within the Fort Bragg commuting area.
Preferred Skills: (skills that are not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)
- 500+ hours total flight time
- Holds a high-performance endorsement
- Hold a current Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI), CFII, and MEI preferred
- Have recent experience flying Cessna 337s, Cessna O-2s, Cessna 206Ts, Cirrus SR22s, and Cessna 208s
- Prior military or civilian DOD experience with Air Operations is desired
Required Education / Certification / Experience: (education a candidate MUST have to be considered for a position)
- Commercial Pilot Certificate (SEL)
- Current, valid 1 st or 2 nd Class Medical
- High School Graduate
Preferred Education / Certification / Experience: (education that is not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Commercial Pilot Certificate Multi Engine Land
Security Clearance:
- Not required, but eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance is preferred
