Duties
Help
  • Provides oversight in the planning and execution of Military Construction (MILCON) projects for DISA.
  • Develops detailed program/project plans, tasks, milestone dates and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes, budgets and associated expenditures throughout the life cycle of the MILCON.
  • Leads meetings on design reviews, engineering change proposals, with subject internal and external stakeholders, to ensure appropriate interests are represented.
  • Provides oversight and inspection to ensure project is accomplished in accordance with approved scope of work. Directs and coordinates DISA Field Office resources to ensure mission requirements are satisfied by project execution.

Qualifications

Time In Grade:
For entry at the GS-13 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-12 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as: Providing program management for military construction projects to facilitate the administration of design build and design-bid-build services, management control of project execution, and coordination and scheduling of efforts supporting projects to minimize impact on command mission operations.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement, qualified applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12) in the Federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level.
