The Sr. Engineering Technician will perform complex technical tasks to assist engineers with electronic systems and technical activities relating to product development.

Job Description:
The Sr. Engineering Technician will perform complex technical tasks to assist engineers with electronic systems and technical activities relating to product development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs engineering activities such as, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment.
- Works from knowledge, skills and abilities to generate conceptual plans based on discussions, notional diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or layouts to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Determines methods or actions to remedy complex malfunctions.
- Design, construct, test and verify test equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology or related field, or equivalent electronics military schooling and experience required.
- Demonstrates proficiency (typically 4-6 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)

- Dealing with ambiguity - Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture; doesn't have to finish things before moving on; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Electrical/electronic circuit/component knowledge
- Intermediate knowledge of computer SW and operating systems
- Aerospace equipment test experience, such as DO-160 testing, preferred
Physical Abilities:
- Manual dexterity
- Occasionally lift heavy (< 40 lbs.) items
- Color differentiation
Work Environment:
- Exposure to high voltage
- Exposure to LN2
- Exposure to power tools
- Exposure to chemicals
- Moderate noise environment
