Job Description

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an IT Management Analyst to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC. The position is hybrid and requires the ability to work onsite weekly in Washington, D.C. (last-minute) as requested by the customer, approximately twice every two weeks. This role requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

This position supports the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), specifically the Director of Enterprise IT Policy and Governance Office. The primary goal is to assist in coordinating and implementing actions aligned with OCIO objectives, with a strong focus on supporting Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) compliance and execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Management Analyst will perform the following essential duties. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Support FITARA Implementation: Assist in the execution, monitoring, and basic reporting of FITARA implementation activities. Help develop and gather content for communicating FITARA guidelines and best practices to various Departmental stakeholders.
  • FITARA Data Collection & Analysis Support: Support studies and basic analyses of work processes and procedures as they relate to FITARA. Assist in collecting and organizing data for program requirements and reports to help ensure DOE's adherence to FITARA mandates.
  • IT Operations & Policy Assistance: Provide support for implementing standard IT techniques and procedures. This includes tracking organizational deliverables, assisting with managing deadlines, and helping to ensure operational goals are met. Assist with basic analysis of business or operating procedures for efficiency, which may include making updates to communication tools like SharePoint and other websites.
  • Federal IT Policy Monitoring: Monitor for changes in Federal IT legislation and help identify their potential impact on FITARA and DOE IT. Assist in gathering information and drafting initial responses to Federal legislative mandates and guidance.
  • Collaboration & Communication Support: Support collaboration with managers and program analysts to ensure work adheres to requirements, especially those driven by FITARA. Assist in preparing communications and reports on project findings and departmental initiatives.
  • Executive Support & Data Compilation: Assist in gathering technical data on IT needs, compiling it for preliminary analysis and presentations. Help identify and track changes in Federal policy that could affect the Department's FITARA posture.
  • Professional Development: Actively seek out and participate in available training to support self-development.

Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen (non-U.S. Citizens holding any type of visa or green card are not eligible.)
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in direct supervision of IT software development, integration, maintenance projects, and/or telecommunications management, or 2 years of experience in IT project management/administrative/contract support.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office.
