System Administrator
Clearance Level: Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Aquila Technology is seeking a System Administrator t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The team is seeking a System Administrator to expand and maintain a heterogeneous network of Linux, Windows, OSX, VMware platforms and computer-driven test equipment in support of research into cyber system assessments. A key function of a Systems Administrator role is to serve as a technology consultant to research staff and project teams. Primary area of expertise for this role will be the Ubuntu operating system.

Cell Phone & Internet Reimbursedup to $150 monthly to cover cell phone, data, and home internet expenses. Aquila Technology will reimburse team members who work from home ONLY for cell phone/mobile device fees for work-related communications and/or operations each month. Employees eligible for this benefit must work remote 2 days a week or more to qualify.
Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) -Team members are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 every three (3) years for the purchase of electronic equipment used to access corporate services. To qualify for this benefit, employees must have completed a minimum of six (6) months of employment and must agree to and sign the Device Minimum Configuration Form prior to reimbursement. Electronic devices eligible under the Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) program are limited to cell phones, laptops, and tablets.
Clearance Level: Interim clearance is acceptable for start of assignment
Work Location: Onsite - Candidates should expect to be onsite five days per week initially. Once up to speed, there may be flexibility for up to one day of remote work per week.
Interview Process: Initial phone or zoom interview, then an in person interview with a wider audience. Preference is for an in person for the second round but they group would consider doing a zoom for someone that is moving the MA area upon start but is not currently local.

- 6 years Scripting and Task Automation (e.g. server installation, patch management, configuration)
- 3 years Support of DevSecOps environments.
- 3 years Understanding of virtualization, networking, and storage concepts
- 3 years Hardware: Intel/AMD, Dell
- 3 years Configuration of network switches
- 3 years Experience with Layer 2 networking protocols (e.g. VLAN)
- 6 years Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
- Excellent Problem Solving
- Strong customer service skills and communication
- Strong team communication
- 6 years Ansible
- 3 years DevSecOps environments (Github, Jfrog, Jenkins, GitLab, Fortify, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- 3 years Virtualization and containerization (e.g., VmWare, Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)
- 6 years Configure storage for Linux systems (LVM, file systems, RAID, storage encryption, SAN, NAS and NFS)
- 6 years Ubuntu Systems Administration experience
- 3 years System Documentation
Nice to Have:
- Air-Gapped Networks
- Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
- IT system security compliance (NIST, PCI, HIPPA, CMMC)
- Configuring and maintaining Firewall/VPN configurations
- DoD STIG's and SCAP
- Familiarity with JIRA / Confluence
- Active Directory Administration and GPOs
- RHEL
