CAD Technician

Job Title: CAD Technician
Location: Arlington, VA (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour on W2
Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST

Responsibilities:

• Candidate needs to be proficient in AutoCad but Microstation and BIM (Revit) are a plus. The Client stated this person will need to be able to take direction but also be able to work independently and could work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ultimately the client is looking for someone they can spin up and get accustomed to the staff and environment over the summer so that when the actual tasks kick in after the mid-terms, they'll be up to speed and able to work quickly.

Must have:

• Must have full knowledge of drafting and design in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and 3D (models).
• Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural, Fire Protection, Civil, and Interior design plan layouts is required.
• Must meet mid-level of experience. Must be fully competent in all basic operations/concepts of AutoCAD, including plotting, precision drafting, measurement tools, working with layers, external references (XREFs), blocks, dimensions, and interpreting redline drawings.
• Training shall include but not limited to: Controlled Unclassified Information and Computer Security Awareness (no clearance is required).
