However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

We are looking for an experienced Hardware/Virtualization Administrator to add their skills to our team of diverse, driven and highly capable IT professionals.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a primary contributor and subject matter expert (SME) in the development, implementation and deployment of Closed Area hardware standards for servers, storage, backup, and datacenter resources
- Comprehensively evaluate and assess Business requirements for IT projects and work with other subject matter experts, stakeholders and vendors to design solutions to meet or exceed project requirements and organizational standards, and account for project growth
- Thoroughly test and evaluate all hardware/datacenter solutions to ensure Business requirements are met or exceeded, and ensure compliance with organizational and corporate security standards or other regulatory requirements
- Perform thorough technical review of hardware through all stages of project lifecycle; evaluate and assess changes or issues and advise stakeholders of project impact
- Author and maintain thorough documentation for standard processes, operating procedures, system configurations, and compliance
- Act as primary contributor in the research and development of new hardware/datacenter technologies, implementation and deployment processes; develop and maintain roadmaps and lifecycles for hardware/datacenter solutions
- Act as primary interface with key vendors and Business stakeholders, and establish or maintain close working relationships with them to stay up to date with industry offerings and technologies
- Act as primary contributor to and lead for special implementation projects as required
- Work closely and collaboratively with other team members and teams across a wide range of disciplines; regularly advise, train and mentor team members
- Effectively and regularly communicate status and provide feedback to all organizational levels
- Serve as third level escalation support for operational systems
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Secret clearance; willingness to be submitted for a Top Secret clearance
- 6-10+ years of relevant work experience pertinent to the position
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Active Secret clearance; willingness to be submitted for a Top Secret clearance
- Experience in successfully implementing and deploying IT solutions, within air-gapped environments preferred
- Successfully implementing enterprise server components and datacenter infrastructure including hardware, power and cooling
- Experience with enterprise-class storage and backup technologies (NetApp, Dell/EMC, Veeam, Veritas, etc.)
- Experience with enterprise virtual infrastructure platforms (vSphere, RedHat OpenShift, Hyper-V)
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
- Significant experience with Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with Linux and Unix operating systems
- Familiarity with monitoring and analytics tools, network technologies, concepts and configurations
- Familiarity with hardware power and cooling requirements
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Occasional off-hour response to outages and subsequent service restoration efforts are required
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Advanced experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix, KVM)
- Expert level knowledge with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions (Omnissa Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft RDS)
- Experience using scripting languages to analyze/optimize performance, automate tasks, and manage deployments (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, Bash)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Relevant professional certifications (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associated)
- May be required to lift up to 40 pounds and move into positions either standing or kneeling that require connecting computing equipment for use
